GAE System 12-TM: High Power Top/Monitor Loudspeaker
Key Features:
Medium format - Top/Monitor. Passive fullrange loudspeaker system for music and speech reproduction. The functional vented cabinet incorporates 1 high power N-Dym 12-inch transducer with 4-inch voice coil combined with a N-Dym 2" HF- Driver with 3-inch voice coil on a radial horn with a coverage of radial 60° . The low-loss passive crossover realises a minimum phase behaviour and incorparates an active two-stage HF-driver protection.
General:
The System 12N-TM is a passive high output FOH/monitor system for mobile use and fixed installations. The 2-way system design incorporates low loss filter stages linearising the phase-/ frequency response. The radial horn design with a dispersion of 60° is also optimum for floor monitor application. The smooth frequency and phase response of the 2-way system together with the high output/low distortion of the system makes it also suitable for FOH use as a fullrange system.
The rugged enclosure is made from multilayered plywood with 2 recessed handles in the cheeks. It provides five threaded shas to attach mounting hardware. Three on top and sides and two on backside making different installation mounts possible. Connectivity is provided by two NL4 Connectors.
With its high sensitivity of 97dB SPL 1W/1m the System 12TM produces impressive 125dB/1m with 700W.
The acoustical bandwidth is 55Hz - 18KHz ( (-3dB)+/- 2,5dB) with controller) and the phase response is within +/-45°.
The non critical impedance response with a minimum of 6,3Ohm@184Hz allows the safe operation of multiple Systems 12N-TM on one channel of a professional grade power amplifier.

The System 12N-TM measures 600mmx377mmx343mm (HxWxD) and different colour options in RAL tones are available to match interior desing. A special protective front grill with a highly permeable acoustic foam cover is recessed into the baffle design. Different mounting acessories for wall-, ceiling- or pole mounting are available and can be ordered colour coordinated.
In addition user specified mounting hardware can be designed and manufactured by GAE.
The musical quality can easy be underlined with a matching sub-/ low woofer system like the GAE BR118 or GAE BR218 extending the performance down to 40Hz.
